BCVSAR was re-formed in 2005 to provide
PEP based Search & Rescue services to the Bella Coola Valley
and central coast of BC. Our group consists of >12 volunteers
trained in Ground Search & Rescue, various levels of Swift Water Rescue and Avalanche Recovery.
Our primary mandate is to provide search, rescue and support
roles for wilderness or backcountry incidents and natural disasters. We work Cooperatively with PEP, RCMP, BC Ambulance and
other agencies throughout BC, focusing on communities of the Central Coast
Region.
